Good-Food for thought n Living a healthy life…Funda No.6 of Healthy-life-style

Hi Everybody,
V all know d importance of proper 'Diet' in maintaining Good-Health...
This day n age there R n-number-of-Popular-'Diets'....
Every now n then V get introduced to such
crash-Diets through some common friends or through media or through some other so-called-'reliable-sources',  n then V get tempted to try them at least once!

Following Chinese proverb correctly expresses d mentality of human-mind…

“I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.
I do and I understand.”

Generally all such Fad-diets R very seasonal...
Their expiry of popularity is less than one year!

Friends, V should always rely on tried-n-tested formula of
"Indian-Balanced-diet"...
This is best suited to our-kind-of-constitution of physical-n-mental-bodies..
Traditional Indian fair served on Banana-leaf is d best n well balanced food for our kind of climate!

I remember those olden-golden days when my Mom would serve a special-Festival-Menu on a fresh Banana-leaf...
The outline of d leaf will be decorated by 'Rangoli'-Art-work...
Now i know d importance of Chlorophyll to our diet which would have come from Banana-leaf but in d child-hood-days i just detested d very-taste-n-aroma of chlorophyll into hot 'Varan-Bhaat-Toop-Limbu' i.e. Dal-Rice-Ghee-Lemon-juice..
On some or d other pretex I will avoid eating food served on d Banana-leaf, instead i would opt for d 'Naivedya-thali' of God, served on Silver-Thali!

There would be many preparations, nutritionally-balanced-in-totality!
A strict discipline would be followed in serving all d delicacies....
Some preparations would be served on 'left-side' while some would be on d 'right-side' of d serving-plate...it could be Banana-leaf, silver-thali, steel-thali...
Since V R originally from Konkan-region, d very first serving will be as above i.e. Varan-Bhaat-Toop-Limbu..followed by some Chappaties or some delicasies from wheat-flour like Puries, Pooran-Polies, Gool-Polies etc
On d right side of d 'leaf', sprouted-pulses-Usal, leafy-veggie, one dry veggie etc would be served..

On d left-side-of d 'leaf', Green-Chatni ground from Coriander,Pudina,green-Chillies,Pea-nuts etc, then Raita, Koshimbir, Panchamrut, a special delicacy along with some fried or roasted Papad or fryums etc would be served.(strictly on Festival-days only)
On festival days some sweet-preparations like Basundi, Shrikhand, Jalebi, Gulab-Jamun, Ras-Gulla, Fruit-salad etc wil be served!
This will be followed with 'Masale-Bhaat' which is prepared with different veggitables, spices n rice-grains, some dry fruits n ‘Keshar’, i.e. Saffron cooked together...
This would be served with Raita or Koshimbir made out of Cucumber, carrot, Radish, Tomato etc in raw-form..
Raita would be necessarily prepared by adding lots of curds to grated raw-salads..
D last course would be Curd-rice...
At d end there will be butter-milk to digest this 4-course-meal!
After washing d hands n gargling d mouth one would get to eat 'home-made-Paan', complete with freshly grated coconut, cardamom, clove etc

If V observe d contents of d entire meals, v would know d 'Healthy' foods, well balanced n complimenting each-other for easier digestion!

Now V turn to d 'Present-day-diet' which is Nutritious n well-balanced for d intake of day-to-day Healthy-living!

Here is a list of healthy nutrients, required on daily-basis by human-beings-
