Life is a Yadnya...Sant Dnyaneshwar
6 March 2010
Hi dears,
Since i have been to 'Alandi' on 1st of December 2009,
i can't stop going there again n again...
Of course in subtle form!

As last time i missed my golden-opportunity
to meditate at,
under-ground-Dhyaan-Mandir,
which was closed due to lunch-break of
d Templer's staff! Am longing to go there,
where that GR8 soul had spent quite-some-time,
meditating....
i would like to feel d golden-dust of that 'holy' Vaastu!

Sant Dnyaneshwar's life is a Yadnya in true-sense of d word!

It is as if an 'Offering' for betterment of d society!
It is to 'cleanse sick-ailing-elements from d society!
D same society which had given tremendous torture, insult,
Extremely-bad-treatment to him n his siblings!
His siblings were Nivruttinaath,Sopaan, Muktaabai...

He along with his bros n little-sis went through all that
wishful-harassment, dished-out by d
so-called-elite-society of that era!
without even mildly-protesting,
against d injustice,
for No-particular-fault-of-theirs!

N in return this kind-hearted-simple-minded,
extremely-intelligent-youth has offered

D Universal-Love in d form of Dnyaaneshwari
at d tender age of Only 15 years to this 'very society'!

In d process thousands n lacs of people were
truelly "inspired"...

by him n his siblings' persona n work....
Even this-day-n-age, There is No-Parallel
to
Him n His-GR8-works.....

Sant Dnyaaneshwar is A 'Live' example of
"Sat-Chit-Anand",
Personified!

He gave d mantra of
Cosmic-Love-is-Universal-Divine-love!

He taught us that V should Not forget
d feelings of Gratitude,
even for a moment....

"Pasaay-daan" is d height of gratitude, any being can
express by words n actions....

V should be grateful to our 'Pitar', d ancestors...
V should be grateful to our parents,
who brought us in this world!
V should be grateful to our spouse
for sharing this world with us!
V should be grateful to our issues-d off-springs,
for d joyful experience of being a parent!
V should be grateful to our siblings
to make our child-hood memorable!
V should be grateful to d society...
V should be grateful to d Nature...
V should be grateful to d Cosmic Energy...
V should be grateful to our Natural-Resources...
V should be grateful to our Vaastu...
V should be grateful to d good-health n
33 crores of Gods,
who cohabit with us in our body-n mind!
V should be grateful to d divine-blessings...
V should be grateful to d feelings-of-Oneness!
V should be grateful to Sants for their
teachings n noble-thoughts...

V should be grateful to every moment which is a Yadnya!

This 'Yadnya' of beathe-in & breath-out
that is
"So-aham" & "Ham-sah"...
is an offering...
"Swaha"
to d Divine!

A small village named 'Nevase'...
Vitthalpant was a learned, Ved-Shastra-parangat-'Pandit'...

Since he was child, was fascinated with d idea of
'Sanyaas'!
He always followed d 'Sadhu n sanyaasi',
waring saffron-robes...

His parents compelled him to marry Rukmini
a simple girl from Alandi!
He could not refuse or rebel against
'wish'
of his ailing, old
parents...
Hence got married against his own-wishes!

Unfortunately for young Rukhmini but
fortunately for Vitthalpant,
his ideal Swami from
Varanasi, arrived ...

Vitthalpant was under complete influence of d swami.
When d swami prepared to leave for
Varanasi,
Vitthalpant pleaded to allow him to be with him,
at Varanasi Aashram...
After spending some time at Aashram,
he had to return, again, against his wish,
Only for his old parents n newly-married-young-wife!

Once back, he became father to 4 children,
namely Nivruttinaath, Dnyaaneshwar, sopaandev n Muktaa!
This was d era of 13th Century! D orthodox society
objected to,
Vitthalpant's change of life-style
from sanyaas to 'grihastha'-ashram!
i.e. become a family-man!

He n his F'ly was black-listed
from d society by
d high-bro-shastries-n-Pandits!

After enough torture n keeping them hungry
for many-days,
d 'Cruel-n-cold-blooded-society-Pandits'
suggested a 'Prayaschitta'...
a kind-of-punishment for d couple
to sacrifice-their-lives-n-DIE!!

For better-n-normal-life, of their children in future,
they made up their mind to just 'sacrifice'!

D kids were very young-n-innocent to know any of these
sudden-n-sad-happenings-in-their-lives....

Vitthalpant was a very disciplined Pandit
n extremely simple person
he believed in d 'Prayaschitta'
ordered
by d Society-Pandits,
N for d thought of welfare of their children,
agreed to die with his wife!

Very soon, One-early-morning, even before Sun-rise,
Vitthalpant n his wife, Rukhminibai, jumped
in d cold waters of d river,
leaving,
fast-asleep-innocent-4-children,
to fend for themselves!!

D punishment given by d cold-blooded society,
Never ended with d death of
Vitthalpant-Rukhminibai!
The 4-orphaned-children were Never treated like,
Normal kids!

Their parents'-sacrifice was Not even Noted
by
heart-less-society...

Every single minute, they were made to struggle
for every single-morsel of food!
they were treated very badly by every body...

Only due to d fears of going against-society-Pandits!

Being born in Brahmin Family, d boys were supposed
to have "Dveej" i.e. Upanayan-sanskaar
after completion of 7years of age...

Though they had grasped d knowledge of Shastraas,
very-fast...
They were denied by d society-Pandits,
d right of "Maunji-bandhan"!

Then they went to Nashik-city n
requested
d learned-ones to examine n cross-check
their knowledge
of Veda-Shastra-n-Yogaabhyaas etc
Here Dnyaaneshwar made d animal 'utter' d chanting
of Shlok-Hymn from Vedas!

This surprised every body...
this news spread like a fire..
Their supreme-knowledge n command over
Yoga-Shastra-Ved
was acknowledged by one-n-all.....

still they were not rich to afford a stove n
d 'Tawa' or 'khapar'
to roast sweet-thin-chappaties called 'Maande',
this is a Maharashrian delicacy...

One day Dnyaaneshwar wished to eat it
n asked little-sis-Muktaa,
to cook d same for lunch!

Poor Muktaa made all d preparations...
but no stove,
no fire n khapar to roast them...so became sad...
sensing this, Dnyaaneshwar, d Maha-Yogi,
 used his Yoga-power
to heat his back-so-Red-hot that
Muktaa could 'roast' d Maande on it!
N then all of them enjoyed d delicacy of Maande!

Even this news was spread like a miracle....
now-on-wards d F'ly got d deserving respect n
celebrity-status from all-n-sundry!

Hearing such miraculous news about
Dnyaaneshwar,
one elderly Sanyaasi named, Changdev
came to meet, Dnyaaneshwar.

He wanted to impress Dnyaaneshwar,
by making a big show-off of his
so-called-power-n-huge-number-of-disciples...

One fine morning, Dnyaaneshwar was sitting on
a broken short-wall,
along with his brothers n sister Muktaabai,
when he heard about arrival of Changdev,
who was older than d trees! He was 1400 years old!!

Riding a wild-Tiger n accompanied by
thousands
of his disciples...he marched

Dnyaaneshwar casually asked d wall,
on which they all were already sitting,
to take them
to welcome their guest of honor,
Changdev!

D amazing thing happened!
D 'wall' obeyed Dnyaaneshwar's request n
took them to Changdev!

After seeing d non-living-wall's obedience
to d gentle-request of Dnyaaneshwar,
d guest, though 1400-years old,prostrated
in front of Dnyaaneshwar!
he saluted d greatness of this Saint!

If he can make non-living objects like a wall,
to act on his 'gentle-subtle-request',
his amazing strength is beyond imagination....

Dnyaaneshwar then, was recognized as a renowned Saint!

I personally feel d GR8-ness of Saint-Dnyaaneshwar
is in
d "Pasaay-daan"!
where he declares his wish to almighty God...

"Jo Je Vaancheel To Te Laaho....Praanijaat"
He is asking god to full-fill all d wishes
of each-n-every-being!

He is urging d god to give
all possible good things, to all d beings..

In-spite-of all d pains, tortures, harassment,
he did Not have even a trace of harsh-feelings or
bitterness...
about anybody...
of d cruel-society!

He is not asking any punishments to such
heartless creatures!
Instead, he is asking for d 'change-of-heart' or
change-in-their-approach, from d god!

he is not asking for any personal fortunes for himself
or his brothers or his little-sister!
He is not asking for any wealth!
He is Not asking for any-kind-of Power!
He has no desire of marital-bliss!
He has no selfish-ambition to become 'some-body'!

Though d people have Never shown
any kindness or compassion
to his parents or his elder-brother, or younger brother,
or little sister!

Dnyaaneshwar shines like a Sun,
at this dark, cruel back-ground,
through his 'Self-less' wish
to d God for welfare of Man-kind!

He was called as a "Mauli"after completion
of, translation of Bhagavat-Gita,in simple Marathi.

He did this for common-man, to understand
this treasure-of-knowledge,
which was originally in 'Sanskrit', known to very few..
He made d meaning simple-n-clear for
lesser-educated-people,
to implement d teachings of "Gita",
practically in day-to-day-life!

This GR8 work was done at d tender age of
Only 15 years!
Because of his personality,
not only Maharashtra but entire nation
was inspired greatly!

Because of him, first-time in d history,
d lower-most strata of people also,
happily joined d group of devotees....

d cast-ism got dissolved n all d people
jelled very well
n got involved in d spiritual activities
with rare togetherness!

N surely this was greatest-achievement in that era,
where no powerful medium was available
for easy communications....
like today's TV,Net, electronic-electric,
telephones, fax, std even Telegraph n telegrams
were Non-existent!

Only word-of-mouth, singing devotional songs,
'kirtans-in-temples' speeches etc
was d only possible medium.

Through his GR8 life-n-literature,
he had enlightened a flame of love,
brother-hood, compassion into d hearts of all!

From bottom of my heart i know that
this-little-flame is still present
in each-n-every living-being
n am sure it will remain Alive
till d end!

there Can't be anything like 'Higher-wish'
above d sentiment expressed so subtly
by none other than,
Dnyaaneshwar!

Till date, Pasaay-Daan is d Top-most-piece-of-literature,
Ever been written by any alive or dead person
in d entire history of Universe!

Hands down, it should be given d Highest Acclaim,
it deserves for it's sheer content for
d welfare of Man-kind!

Friends, at d age of Only 21 years, this greatest soul
voluntarily took,
"sanjeevan-Samaadhi"!

Meaning he left his body n got merged in 'subtle form'!

The Nirvikalpa or Sanjivan Samadhi of this greatest yogi..
In his treatise, Bhavarthadeepika or Dnyaneshwari,
he has emphatically indicated about
relation between
higher awareness n light or pure energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation!

This can be clearly elaborated by d correlation between
electromagnetic radiations and consciousness
on d basis of explanations given by d
all time great physicist, Albert Einstein...

Yoga is often considered as a journey,
from body to mind n
from mind
to soul or spirit or life energy!

In other words Yoga is a journey from
gross material energy to more refined form of the energy...

This phenomenon of journey from
gross material energy to more refined energy,
is apparently quite similar to
d Bose-Einstein condensation!

Noble prize-winner scientists,
have experimentally verified,
D Bose-Einstein condensation...

Interference pattern of atoms of an alkali metal,
when observed at
d absolute zero temperature (-273 deg. cent),
can be compared with the higher three dimensions of
d Ashtanga-Yoga, Dharna, Dhyan n Samadhi!
D alkali atoms were slowed down using a magnetic trap,
Dharana: Slowing down d fluctuations of mind n focusing
it on d goal of self realization n when brought closer,
Dhyan: Bringing one-self closer to the ultimate Principle
n ultimately d atoms were merged into each other
forming light-
Samadhi: Merging into d ultimate Principle-d Self...

This is Tima, wishing,
Each one of U, d Great-Goal in d life...

Shlok of d day-

Sadaa Pandharinaath Paadaabja Bhrunga|
Nivrutti-Ishwaraa Anugrahaat Praapta Tatwam|
Mahaa Indraayani Teer Bhumau Vasantam|
Samaadhistha Murtim Bhaje Dnyaandevam||

Tip of d day-
D 'gram-dal' or Channa-dal is good source of proteins
but it is heavy to digest n it's intake, initiates formation
of gases in d stomach.

To avoid this, always add Ginger in grated or paste form
or for sweet-recipes, use Dry-Ginger-powder,
called "Soonth" in it while cooking.
For d preparation of 'Puran' for 'Puran-Poli'
Soonth helps in easier digestion of it n
also enhances d taste.
