Essence of life.....Speed!

Hi!
How U doing my dear friends?
Must be doing GR8 with all that Non-action(due to lazy-lazy) Sunday!
For me, 14th March was a GR8 Sunday
since ages...
Or to be precise since last 4 months!
Bcoz last Sunday was a Race-Day....
D first Race of d season of 2010-Opening,
Formula-1 Grand Prix
at Bahrain!

I was like a small kid awaiting n looking forward
to all d action n
sheer spirit of Racing...

Am simply crazy about....Car-racing,
Lawn-Tennis, Foot-ball-World-cup n d
list can be longer!

For d love of this, i can manipulate
all my engagements of d day,
giving priority to view, each n every frame of racing,
without even missing
'Pole-Positions'...

In this sport d pace is d 'key'-factor,
which holds d viewer,
glued
to d Idiot-box!

D pace is so fast that d Racer-car-driver has to
remain in d "Present-Moment"....
All-d-time!

They all have to take quick decisions....
they can't afford to brood-over any mistake/s...
It's a Team-work in totality...

So if a winning driver wins n crosses d chequered Flag
first,
it is a Thumping win of entire clan of Team's-members....
D people behind d scene, d Team-Manager, Engineers,
Mechanics, PRO, Media-Persons, Sponsors......

This very-first-race of 2010, was though 'won' by
only one person,
according to me, there were 3 'Winners'....
Bcoz,
1)All 3 R great-Fighters
2)At Any point of time, they Never gave up!
3)They beleived in themselves n 'made' their Fate!
4)They R biggest 'Optimistics'....
5)They had their share of ups-n-down
in their racing-cariers
but
d common thread in these 3 is,
Faith, Perseverance, n Focus!

Let us take d first n Real-Winner of
Baharain Grand-Prix,2010...
He is Fernando Alonso, 29 year old, spaniard.
He is already a two-time-world-Champion!
He has won Formula 1, in year 2005 & 2007 for
two years!
When in 2005, Alonso had defeated
a GR8 Champion of past,
Michael Schumacher, n
won d crown of world championship!

Then he repeated d feat in 2007,
with a lesser known team in world-car-racing,
called Renault.
Later he switched over to Maclaren n his rosy days
changed...
Then he bounced back with old-faithfuls, Renault...

Last one year was a Total-Not-Happening....
or rather humiliating for this GR8 champion!
He bore with all d torture due to
his inner-will-power-to-fight!

He accepted his wrong decision of switching
from a winning team of Renault
to a team of bigger name,
Mercedese-Mclaren!

He had to taste
defeat
due to inferior quality of vehicle n
other things where he had
No-Control...
But this fighter of a driver, within him Never
'just fretted' over such 'lows' of his Racing-carier...

He secretly had negotiations going on
with d best of d lots like
Ferrari....
N without much fuss, he succeded in
joining d Best Team of F1,
at present!

D rest is His-story!

On that Sunday when Alonso finished d race n
celebrated his win with his 'Dream-Team',
he witnessed his
22nd carier-victory,
becoming a reality in d exact-way he had his
long cherished dream!

D second Sports-person is again a True-Fighter...
His name is Fellipe Massa, a 29 year old
Brazilian!
He had literally fought a GR8 battle with
'Death'
n came back to fight
slightly smaller battle of
Racing in F1!!

Last July 2009, at Hungary Grand Prix, he met with
an accident while racing...
It was near-death experience..
Bcoz of life threatening head-injuries!

D accident was so dangerous that in spite of
intricately designed security system for
Race-driver,
he had serious injuries to d scull
n other parts of head n body...
He had a major set-back...
But this true warrior fought a
double battle at two different fronts!

With serious wounds, fast recovery n one
'internal battle'
with his own fear, gathered due to d
horrible accident while driving....

I can identify that fear on a very small scale...
It happened in year 1990!
Some 20 odd years back!
I was driving from Goregaon to Malad...
In d area of Malad, called Liberty Garden...
There were many small lanes...
A group of college going students
were gathered near a parked car...
In that lane on left side, there was a fully loaded truck,
without any driver or cleaner
in near visinity...
On right side of d lane some 5-6 girls were chit-chatting...
I saw them n blew d horn,
thought that if they move, the car can
pass smoothly...
Though i hate 'honking'...
i just did that!
Hearing d loud horn, everybody left
but for one girl who was eventually a
deaf-n-dumb, but surely not blind!
There was a small accident due to that....
With God's grace, nothing serious
happened,
even then, i had that scare of
hurting some body,
in my mind for quite some time!

From this experience, i can vouch for Fellipe Massa's
conquer
over d internal-fear...

His accident was no-small-event, it was Huge!
At this back-ground, when he
'resumed' racing
at season-opening-race at Bahrain,
d "gesture" itself was GR8 n d
Cherry on d pie is that, he stood 2nd to his Team-mate n
long-time friend,
Fernando Alonso!
They both R Winners in their own Right!

D third fighter according to me is our-very-own-F1-Racer,
Karun Chandhok!
He is 26 year old Indian, born at Chennai.
He is a promising driver,
who is very 'Lucky'
to have been picked at d last moment by
Hispania(HRT) Team!

Though his debut at F1 was not GR8,
he had his share of lucky-glamour
to represent his country...
he retired on Lap-2, when he hit d bump n
went off d track...
Nevertheless he enjoyed his 'first taste' of being
part of d sport at
Formula 1 racing!
When asked later, he said his experience was
"surreal".

He had started racing very early, n at d age of
3 years,
he started playing n collecting racing cars....

In India, one needs to be really good on
all fronts
to be there at F1, representing,
billions of Indians!

After all d adversities, to get
sellected as a Formula-1-Driver n be there at d
season opening Race of 2010 is also
No less Achievement by any standards!

Winning n losing doesn't matter...

There is a very thin line between a
Win-n-Loss...
This is again proved by that day's race.

Germany's Sebastian Vettel was
ahead of all other drivers,
right from d 'Pole-Position' to d
two-third-distance of d
total race-distance!

But later, his vehicle of Red-bull, slowed down n d
GR8 Champion,
Fernando Alonso saw his
chance
of over-taking Vettel n going ahead with d
"Thumping-Victory"!

My heart goes after these superb Fighters for their
sheer guts n perseverence...

Dear Friends, this is Tima,
            wishing U a spiritual Ram-Navami....
