17 Feb 2010 Hi dears, Recently i came across an exhibition of weapons, used in d times of Mahabharat..... I was actually shocked to see d GR8 Resemblance of d kind of weaponry used in those times of around 3000 BC n d Modern-day's weaponry, used this-day-n-age! that really made me 'think' seriously about d period of Mahabharat, d Epic.. It was written n Re-written thrice! By three very renowned personalities... D narrations r from Ved-Vyasa to God Ganesh...it is named "Jay" 2nd narration is by Vaishampayan to Janmejaya, it is called "Bhavatu" D 3rd one is by Suta or Sauti to Nimisharanya... called Maha-bharat! Very first time it was written, around some 3000 BC! D funniest thing is, it includes 'every single thing' under d sun! It certainly wouldn't be an exagretion to say that, Whatever is there to be,it all 'exists' in this Epic! If there is anything that is Not in Mahabharat, then it wouldn't be found Anywhere in d entire universe, Bcoz it simply Does Not exist! If V study this epic, V come across some "mind-boggling-Revelations" dealing with, a buffet of Ideologies.... It includes, Astronomy, geography, mathematics, Science of Weaponry, Complex techniques of wars, Philosophy, Psychology, sociology, spirituality, Religion, Politics, n last but not d least, Management Lessons! Imagine Era of 3000 BC,with mention of Existence of Uranus, Neptune etc! It's amazing to know that they were aware of lands, as far as Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Scandinavia etc In Maths, they very well used d numbers of Range of 10 raised to power of 16 n -16! D descriptions of weapons very much 'resemble' Modern-day-weaponry including Nuclear n Chemical weapons! 'Chakra-Vyuha' was a complex kind of army-formation, to trap d bravest of brave Warriors like Abhimanyu... There were many such skillful strategic-military-formations, known in that period! Their life-style was Urban n culture was Harappan! Considering d era, they were extremely 'Advanced' in many ways.... Mahabharat is d Mother of all stories.... It starts with a kingdom with 2 princes, both were handicapped, but in different ways! Elder one called Dhrutarashtra, was blind but very ambitious. He had 100sons,called Kauravas... Younger brother to Dhrutarashtra, was named Pandu, suffering from a rare disease called 'Pandu-Rog', perhaps d disease was named after him! After d death of d Ruling-king-who-was-also-d-father, claim of d elder son to d throne, was denied by d senior Advisers of d Ruler, only bcoz of his blindness! They opted for d diseased Pandu to become d King! Due to his illness, he was unable to bear children n give heirs to d Throne! With Pandu's consent, his wife Kunti, gave birth to 5 sons hence they were called "Pandavas" meaning five-sons-of-Pandu! D Kauravas strongly felt that their 'Right' to d throne was wrongfully suppressed, so they went on with rebelling-acts! D eldest of Kauravas was Duryodhan, who was extremely mighty n brave but crazy in d head! King Pandu's days were counted, due to disease.... As expected he died n then again d question arose about d selection of d King or True-Ruler to d throne... There was lot of chaos... there was lot of dis-satisfaction... there were divided loyalties... d camps were divided... There were selfish-calculations... there was dis-trust, insecurity n over-all-confusion in d mind of common-man or subjects of d kingdom... Ultimately due to seniority, Duryodhan succeeded in becoming d Ruler.. Once in power, first thing he does is 'throw d Pandavas' out of his kingdom! After resorting to all means of foul-play, to become d King, his vengeance was Not satiated, therefore he planed to kill them in different ways n means! But Pandavas were "Lucky" to have 'Bhagawan Shrikrishna'on their side, all d time! His shroud methodology, extreme intelligence had literally, shielded them from all sorts of attacks! He is not only a charioteer n councilor to Arjuna who is d supreme commander of Pandavas... But a True-friend n d Guide in d form of Narayana, to d confused-Nar-that-was-Arjuna! At d war-time, in d battle-field of Kurukshetra, d Krishna, without even touching d weapon of any kind, WINS d 'Real-battle' for Pandavas! In d process, D Bhagavat-Gita Happens! I think V all Beings R equally 'Lucky' to have it in d form of PURE "Knowledge"..... From Maha-Bharat, d 2nd longest Epic of d world, V find some amazing Management Lessons.... V should be able to 'Know' our weak-nesses Once V know them n acknowledge them, V need to try n work on them... with lot of perseverance... So that at d end,V successfully convert our Weaknesses into our 'strengths'! V should find d 'Enemies' of our Real-Enemy... Once V know them, Make efforts to 'Be-friend' those enemies... V should make 'powerful allies'... This-is-how V CAN turn Enemies into Allies! V should Analise d total number of Responsibilities... Once d analysis is done, V should 'shoulder-our-responsibilities'! If it is Not possible to do single-handedly, V should 'Share' d responsibilities.... V should always believe in 'Team-Spirit'.. D Team-work can Complete, d most difficult tasks successfully, while 'Individual-Efforts' of GR8 Masters can fail! V should select d team of 'right' individuals... Meaning 'Right' person for d 'Right' job... D best Individual for job is not d one with d Best Capabilities but d one with d Greatest Commitment! Emphasis should be on 'commitment' to d Team's interests.. V should see that 'individual interests' Do Not score over Team's Interests! V should be mentally ready to take some 'calculated Risks' if need be... V should be 'Aware of' d 'Ground-Realities'.... V should take some efforts to know n study different 'Ideologies'.. V should always Self-motivate ourselves n Inspire other team-members in 'moment-of-need'.... V should always co-operate n overcome d Crisis of any kind... V should always keep our mind, 'Open' to d new ideas, new thoughts, new reforms, new ideologies... V should avoid d 'Gender based Prejudice'.... D gender-balance is required for stability n better administration... Men n Women should have equal freedom to express n act... This way V can have Masculine-traits of Aggression n dominance... N d Feminine-traits of Harmony n Sustenance... Friends, this Surely can be d "Winning Mantra" of all times! This is Tima, wishing U all, d success n peace from this 'very-moment'.... Shlok of d day- PriyankuKalikashyaamam Roopenaapratinam Budham| Soumyam Soumya Gunopetam Tam Budham Pranamamyaham|| Tip of d day- To reduce cough or phlegm from d Respiratory-system, Warm-up one small-iron-kadhai n remove it from d flame, add 1 T-spoon of Honey + 1/4 T-spoon or one pinch Turmeric powder to it. Mix well n eat this blended warm-mixture. Optionally U may drink hot milk after intake of this mixture. |
