| Hi All, Recently i came across a very unfortunate F'ly.......of 3, a couple n their 7-year old daughter....... D couple is very matching in good-Looks-good-Education-good-Well-to-do-family-background.......everything was "Goood"....... Except d time.......There was No-time-for-each-other! Post-graduate wife was working in a bank...... D handsome-husband, overly-busy, working n slogging almost 16 hours a day, at posh-south-Mumbai-Office....... D poor-little-daughter had her own world.....of studies, school-teachers-school-friends-chocolates-dolls-toys...every-possible-things required by a 7-year-old, EXCEPT presence of her parents! Especially she 'missed' her 'Daddy' very much..... she used to express her complaints n unhappiness about this.... But her poor-daddy could not even express his suppressed feelings to Anybody..... There were already more-than-enough arguments on many topics ... without any support, moral or sentimental , d Daddy continued his miserable "life" of huge-Pay-Packets n Long-working-hours! Both d times,when he left home n when returned home, d daughter was fast-asleep! On week-ends his 'Boss' will call him to office or send him to out-station-office! Some rare times when he was at home, his week-end-time will vaporise with 'pending work'!! His lap-top n mobile were like his-own-body-parts! He slept with them n carried them every where....... Depressed, frustrated, disgusted were the 'only' feelings, he knew.... He silently tolerated this "torture", day-in-n-day-out! Ultimately one day he collapsed at office........ A very first-n-fatal Heart-attack which killed him in reality! His wife is still under utter shock....... His daughter being innocent, still thinks that her Daddy is working at office, as usual...or rather as always......... Friends, Let us take a serious note of this........ Something that we can do to help ourselves n others.... Each one of us must know this very very Important-Information about sudden Heart-Attack.... THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CHOLESTEROL. THE GOOD. (HDL or High Density Lipid) THE BAD and the UGLY!! (LDL or Low Density Lipid.) A higher level of HDL is needed to carry LDL from the BLOOD back to the LIVER to be ELIMINATED from the body. If there is a higher level of LDL cholesterol in the BLOOD this may: Cause high blood pressure! Raise your risk of heart attack! Raise your risk of stroke! Cause the kidneys to fail! Cholesterol is broken down into LDL which is needed by the body cells. Once the cells are satisfied the unused LDL remains to become what is known as blood cholesterol. The main danger of high blood cholesterol is that Fatty Plaques may form which will decrease the diameter of blood vessels. This leads to a restriction of the flow of blood and oxygen to the tissues of the body. If an Artery supplying blood to the HEART becomes blocked you may have a heart attack! If an Artery supplying blood to the BRAIN becomes blocked you may have a Stroke! If an Artery supplying blood to the kidney becomes blocked you may suffer Kidney failure. YOU CAN…. eat LESS following food-items: Deep-Fried-take away fast foods. High fat dairy products and eggs-yolk(Yellow-Part) Red-Meat. Saturated fats and oils. Biscuits, cakes and pastries, things from White-flour YOU CAN... USE following for better-health Unsaturated oils (olive oil) instead of lard. Low fat cooking methods: Steaming, Grilling N Roasting. YOU SHOULD strictly follow this as a Life-Style… Get up early at 4 am,Do Pranayam (Breathing Techniques) & Meditation. Go for morning-walk,Retire to bed early at 10pm-11 pm Make exercise a part of your day.Walking,Yog-Asana, Swimming, Jogging, skipping R good). Before Exercise, warm-up UR body & after d Exercise, cool-it. Strictly No smoking and No intake of Tobacco and Alcohol in any form. Drink more water.3 glasses in d Morning,3 in d noon,3 till U retire to bed.(Proportion may vary as per season) Consume ONLY 3 T-Spoon Low-absorb oil per person,Per Day Eat 1-Bowl/Katori of boiled-Leafy Veggies Eat preferably White-Meat(Fish) or Lean-Meat like chicken in Moderate Quantities 2 to 3 times a week. Eat Sprouted pulses either as a salad or cooked (with minimum oil n spices)3 times a week. Restrict Daily-Salt-consumption to minimum.Avoid habit of adding Extra-salt in foods. Avoid Pickles, Pappad, both fried n roasted. Avoid intake of Ready-to-eat Soups, Chinese recepies, Observe UR Salt-intake/Sodium intake. If U must, have d same Once a week which is Home-made/Home-cooked, without adding Sodium-Glutamet/ajinomoto or Taste-Maker to it! Restrict UR intake of white Suger. U may not be suffering from Diabetes but still UR daily Suger-intake should be only 2 T-spoons. Jaggery/Gud if Organic, is slightly better than white suger which is chemically bleached! Honey is a better option but restrict it's intake to Maximum 2 T-spoons, in a day. Try n avoid use of 'artificial sweetners' as far as possible. D best of all options is "To develop a taste, without suger" Do not use Soda-bi-carb or baking powder or baking soda, for cooking foods like pulses.... Also do not use soda for accelerate d process of fermentation in batter of Idali/ Dosa / Medu wada / Uttappa/ Or Khaman-Dhokla etc D nutrition value of all these food-items will go down considerably! Always wash UR veggies n fruits before U cut them n not vice-a-versa. As far as possible do Not remove d skin or peel or outer covering of veggies n fruits. Do not drink any Cola or Soda or any type of soft-drink either before or during or after d lunch n dinner. If U must have something, U can have fresh fruit-punch or Honey-ginger-Lemon drink / shorabat, fruit-squosh made at home. U can have 'Sol-kadhi' or Tomato-soup, Awla-sharabat, Palak-soup etc, preferably home-made, as an appetiser. As far as possible avoid artificial colors, refined flours,excess-fats, excess-sugers while cooking, to protect d Nutrition-quotient of foods. Consume Only Low-Fat-Milk or Skimmed-Milk n products. Do Not use Any-kind-of-Ghee as cooking-medium. Avoid eating Ghee or any Sweets/"Mithai" cooked in Ghee. If U must, eat a very small quantity of "Pure-Cow-Ghee" only Once a week. Detox UR body-system, at least ONCE a Month. Have a Regular Time-Table of fixed time for Break-fast, Lunch, Super n Dinner. strictly follow it. Deliberately add extra-Lemon-juice to salads n veggies,Dals/Pulses etc just before U actually eat. Avoid eating Stale or Over-cooked or frequently-warmed/heated foods as their Nutrition-quotient becomes neglegible. Have a good quantity of Break-fast, containing Proteins, Carbohydrates, few dry-fruits like Almond(7), Anjeer(1), Jardalu(1) Raisins, n minerals. Have a Lunch, slightly lesser in Quantity( than Break-fast), containg Chapati/Dal-Rice,Leafy veggies(1 katori),curds/Buttermilk, salads n seasonal fruit. Have a early-dinner, preferably before Sun-set & lesser in quantity than Lunch. U may have Soup/Juice/Kadhi/Buttermilk, Moong-dal or Moong-Khichadi, a seasonal fruit Take UR medicines/Supplements as per d Advice of UR-Personal/ Expert Doctor Only. Do not Experiment with UR health by "self-medication" Always try to be Happy n composed. Also try to make others Happy. Cultivate good communication skills, try to avoid mis-understanding Once-a-week, take a break from daily-routine. Have a change-of-scene, at least ONCE in a Six-months to a near-by-place n Once-a-year to a far-away-place. Once-a-year, Have a Thorough Medical-Check-Up at a reputed Hospital Always Think/Act Positively. A healthy-mind n a healthy-body work mirakles! THE LINK BETWEEN BLOOD CHOLESTEROL LEVELS AND HEART DISEASE IS CLEAR. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT IF AN AVERAGE MAN CAN REDUCE HIS BLOOD CHOLESTEROL BY ONLY 10% HE CAN REDUCE HIS RISK OF HEART ATTACK BY UP TO 50%!! Start NOW to make the changes because…..
