Universal Consciousness......

Today is 27 Jan 2010 How R U doing, friends? Must be busy with Republic-Day celebrations, yesterday..... Proud moments of Flag-hoisting.... Loud back-ground of Patriotic songs..... Equally loud speeches by Tom-Dick-n-harry.....in every lane-n-bylane of d country... After every loud(in every sense) speech,recorded 'roaring' sound of cheers n clapping..... Enjoying Republic-day's 'feast' with heated statements about rising costs of all necessities of life.......Food, clothing n shelter.....   V R enjoying "Freedom" since, 15 August,1947 which is our Independence-Day..... At a times,i wonder...R V really "free n Independent" in true sense of d word! Today is our 60th Republic Day! i wonder....n what does that exactly mean in reality? I sure have great respect for Swatantrya-Veer Sawarkar, Bhagat Singh, Lokmanya tilak n many more GR8 souls...... But in today's world, d meanings have changed for me! I must confess that my perspectives have radically changed.... I DO beleive in "Border-less World" or "Vasudhaiva Kutumabakam"...... In school days or even in college days, i would swell with d idea of 'Patriotism'..... Still i salute d bravery shown by our heroes fighting d wars....in adverse conditions.... without enough ammunition....without proper clothing....without helmets, head-protection-gears...,without 'good-quality',bullet-proof-jackets......D list is very very long! They have to 'obey' d "Orders"....come wot may! They have to 'witness' death, all d time.... It could be of their associates....it could be of their room-mates.... It could be Death personified! I have immense respect for all, who R serving their 'country' by devoting their comforts, ambitions, relationships,even their so-called-Customized-Body,to-fight-untiringly...... They spend hours-n-hours to harden n build their 'bodies'..... One wrong move, one wrong moment, one bullet with his name "secretly written" on it, coming from no-where..... Years of hard-training turns into dust at that very moment! D so-called 'close-relatives' of that GR8 soul......it could be d spouse with or without children...... It could be old, aged parents or a single parent under utter shock..... It could be a sad-sibling of that GR8 hero..... They will be urgently called to collect d 'body' of that War-Hero, wrapped in d country's-Flag n..... D honor of "salutations" with d number of Gun-shots...depending on d bravery of that Hero, N/OR his 'grade' in d Forces...of Army/Navy/Air!! D relative is given d Gold/Silver medal on behalf of d dead soul.... D speeches R delivered by Ministers....or d chief of forces.... After d ceremony, D gathered people disburse in sad-mood....n go home. D ministers go to their political-houses n return to their 'routine' life...of false-promises n speeches! D Chiefs of respective Forces give usual'orders'...n day is over for them... D close relatives return to their unfortunate lives with heavy-hearts! They 'create' a special-Place to "Display" d Medal of Honor, of their beloved but lost, son/husband/brother/sister/father/friend....... Apparently, Nothing really changes for d World or rather d Country..... Whenever i see a Flag of any country, i see innumerable no of souls..... i see river of blood..... i see crying relatives.... i see heaps n heaps of dead bodies.... i see severely wounded soldiers..... i see 'Dance of death"..... i see helpless, orphaned kids..... i see hardships of widows of d War-Heroes.... all this CAN Change....... If only, V broaden our 'perspectives'...... if only, V mentally dissolve d grudges n follow "Humanity" as an Ideal instead of so-called-religions-races-castes n what not..... If only, V all beleive that entire Universe is our F'ly...n V all R F'ly members.... I am tempted to repeat d famous words of Swami Vivekananda,"My Brothers n Sisters...." adressing to d entire human-race....errespective of in which country/s they were born or errespective of their citizenships.....errespective of their skin-color etc If at all V need to fight, let us fight,d "Darkness" of our minds..... Let us fight,ill-health or diseases.... Let us fight natural calamities n crises like Sunami n earth-quakes, unitedly..... Let us fight, poverty in general.... Let us fight, un-education..... Let us fight, cruelness, revengefulness, ruthless-ness... Let us fight d narrow-minded mean-ness, selfishness, feelings of envy... Let us fight d greed for power, money, control everbody n everything etc..... Let us fight d urge to over-power, d urge to rule, d urge to supress d so-called-weak or under-developed..... Let us fight unkind,unforgiving nature of ours..... Let us expand our 'Heart-Chakras'.... N Let us share, happiness, goodness,knowledge, Divine-ness,lovingness, brotherhood.... Let us look forward to d "Happy n Infinite World, without any borders or labels....." In Bhagavat-Gita, there is a shloka:        Vasansi Jeernani Yathaa Vihay     |        Navami Gruhnnati naroparaani.....|| Simply meaning- As V throw d old,worn-torn clothes n replace with new ones,d Atman within us, leaves d old,aged,sick body to replace with a brand-new body n takes a re-birth! Similarly V need to throw our old, rotten,selfish-narrow-minds n replace d same with "Universal-Mind".......
