Date 25 Jan, 2010 Hello Dears, Today is Swami Vivekananda's Birth-Anniversery... V should salute his GR8 leadership qualities, spiritual expertise, magnetic personality n d list is un-ending...... Let us remember his work towards humanity......n from our end,Let us try to do some good, selfless act of charity.... It could be any thing, done with sincerity n honesty.... Bcoz V R not proving any thing to anybody....... V R not doing this to impress anybody..... V R not answerable for this act, to anybody..... V r not doing this to show off.....or grab attention by being one-up to somebody...... V R not going to be on 'page-3' for this noble act..... Nobody is going to give a speech, praising Our good deed/s! Nobody is going to clap for Our efforts.... But am sure about one thing....V will get immense satisfaction from whatever little noble deed V will do.... N that will be d prize, comparable to any standard honour one may get! It could be an 'Oscar' without bribing/praising/buttering d juries!! It can be a 'Noble' peace prize for being soo noble to somebody!! Let us be aware of the field of our mind, as if V R completely non-attached 'witness' to whatever objects come before our minds. Let us observe n watch a flowing stream of all our thoughts today..... Bhagavat Gita describes several categories of Yadnya, just as Deva-Yadnya, Atma-Yadnya, Brahma-Yadnya, Tapa-Yadnya, Yoga-Yadnya, Swadhyaya-Yadnya, Gyan-Yadnya etc. N enunciates that whatever is done for realization of God or for self-realization is known as "Yadnya" A person is truly blessed if he/she imbibes these teachings in his/her daily life by performing symbolic worship in the form of Yadnya. In every form of Yadnya, there is a residue of fire, .....ashes Ultimately each n every physical form of all human beings are going to be reduced to a handful of ashes..... The idea behind applying (ashes of Yadnya) on the forehead reminds us the inevitability of death n as if it urges us to utilize each and every moment of our life in the best possible manner.......Bcoz, Destiny is not a matter of chance; but surely a matter of choice. friends, today, let us remember d GR8 thoughts of Swami Vivekananda's Guru, Ramakrishna Paramhansa.... "A man freed from bondage is Shiva; if entangled in bondage, he is jiva" Tip of d day- Cook d leafy veggies in an 'iron-kadai'.After cooking, immediately remove n store in a glass container. While eating squeeze a lemon on it. Lemon juice has Vit-C, which releases Iron from d veggie n helps in digesting it easily. As a bonus, it also enhances d taste of d veggie . "Om Som Somaye Namaha" Prayer for Moon-God Soma is Nectar Wish U All A Wonderful n Fruitful Monday......... |
