Friends, today's thought is-

Matru-Devo Bhav, Pitru-Devo Bhav, Acharya-Devo Bhav ||

Am sure atleast in India, everybody knows d exact meaning of this "shloka",

but for my global friends, d simple meaning is as follows...
After arriving in this world from mother's womb, d very first "Guru"

i.e."Aadya Guru", for that baby is it's very own mother n d learning from

this Aadya-Guru, starts very early ie right from 9 months' stay in d womb

itself....Abhimanyu from Maha-Bharata is d GR8 example of this theory!
Then comes d Guru in d form of Father, whose genes R inherited by d baby...
N then last but not d least comes d Guru in d form of a Teacher.....

Teachers could be many in number, as throughout our life-span,till V take

our last breath n say "Tata...Bye,bye' to this beautiful world, V remain a

student...a learner!
Whoever gives us "Gyaan" can be our Guru for his knowledge/expertise in

that perticular subject/area......
V R like a sponge, absorbing all kinds of various skills, arts,Informations

etc from all visible /invisible sources all d time!
On different modes of life, v keep on learning......
From parents, grand-parents,from close relatives ,from friends, from total

strangers, sometimes even small kids teach us a lesson or two with their

innocent words n actions!
In that sense even they can be our gurus for that "lesson" n for that

moment!
If V observe Nature-Prakriti-our mother-earth,V get a GR8 treasure of

"subtle knowledge".......

I salute Himalayas for giving us Kailash n Maan-sarovar.....D purest n

holiest place known to d Mankind.....

I salute to all d rivers on this universe, for they being symbol of

"selfless service"....especially Ganga for d waters that r so "pure n full

of medicinal qualities", that d usage of that water makes us "pure from

within".....

I salute trees n plants of each n every sizes....right from Grasses or

aquatic plants like Mosses to Banyan tree....for they all know only One

action which is "Only giving" n NOT expecting anything in return! Most of d

times,V humans R exactly opposite...can learn a lesson or two from them!

I salute all d animals er-respective of their sizes or shapes.....Bcoz as

compared to "Humans", who r worst n most dangerous kind of animals, they(d

poor so-called-animals) R very harmless in many ways! Not for any religious

reasons but out of pure respect, I  specially salute cow, as she is

"Kaam-dhenu" in every sense.....i.e.fullfilling all d desires/wishes of a

man-kind!
For "holy Cow" V hav a very nice Shloka, decribing her precisely....

Sarve Devaha Sthita Dehe, Sarva Deva-mayi Gau||

Friends, i would like to share this event, which was narrated by my late

mother, my "AadyaGuru".....
This incident happened at my native place, Miraj, when i was not even

born....My parents had couple of cows n buffalows for daily supply of pure

milk to a big family...... My mother loved to take care of these homely

animals, who were like our family members!
Once when times became difficult,my father decided to sale one cow, named

"Kapila".Mother became very sad as she was very attached to all of them n

specially Kapila, as her delivery was due.Since animals R always more

"sensitive" than Human-beings,Kapila sensed d tention.....though mother

never cried in front of Kapila but language of eyes is always true to heart

n hence more powerful than words...
One day, very early morning Kapila was taken away to a far off place, some 6

hours journey from Miraj.Since cow is a very intelligent animal, she was

blind folded till they reached d destination. My father accompanied as

Kapila would not allow any strange person to come near her!My father

returned home late in d evening...there was a sad, silence at home.Nobody

was hungry to eat d dinner on that night. D attachment to Kapila was so

much that there was unspoken sadness in evryone's eyes......

Next day morning with heavy heart, when my mother went to cow-shed, she had

a pleasant shock of her life.....she saw Kapila cow was very much present

at her usual alloted place! Mother pinched herself to cross-check whether

she was day-dreaming about Kapila being in d cow-shed!Then d reality dawned

on her n she touched n caressed Kapila....All four eyes(of both mother's n

Kapila's) were full of Silent-tears of happiness,as if two friends were

meeting after a decade of separation.....
Only god knows how she could hav managed her way from such a far away place

where she was tightly tied to a pole, back to our home as she was

blind-folded!

So friends, moral of this small but True story is....
"where there is a strong will, there is a Definite Way!!"
